Bond Updates
Dr. Leonard debuted an explainer video for the May 2019 Bond (Proposition A). He also shared the schedule of several bond informational presentations leading up to the May 4, 2019 election. The Board called an $80 million bond election, which requires no tax rate increase and includes projects under safety & security, student programs & support, energy efficiency & conservation and facilities. The Board voted to include instructional, co-curricular and extra-curricular spaces for the Aquatics, Robotics and Wrestling programs but decided the bonds for such facilities would not be issued until proper permitting and construction design are defined and operational costs are mitigated or eliminated.
