![]() December 19, 2019 PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING “Guys, I’m eating junk and watching rubbish.” – Kevin McAllister (Home Alone)
Wise words from a great movie. I can’t wait to do the same!
I want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Please use this time to recharge and relax. May your travels be safe and your hearts be warm. Thank you for sharing your children with us; they are making you proud every day. Personally, my crew will be staying local as we host family coming to visit us from DC. Knox and Sylar haven’t seen their cousin, Wyatt, in some time, and if their FaceTime sessions are any indicator, we’re in for a pretty wild adventure. We also have a trip to the big city of Anson, Texas, planned, and I look forward to the slow down. My hometown has literally one red light to control traffic, and it is always nice to be forced to tap the breaks now and then.
A very special thank you to everyone who helped out with our special guest this week. Our elf celebrated Mardi Gras, gift wrapped a car, went to dog school, joined a band, and will have a snowball fight. A big week for sure, but none of it would have happened without some help. Thank you to Leah Turner and Megan Sorrel for their efforts in coordinating the week. Additional thanks to Stephanie Owens, Paul Phillips, Mary Katherine Stout, Melissa Olen, all of the parents who provided wrapping paper, everyone who dealt with the increased traffic, and the staff who brainstormed and provided props and assistance. Additionally, a special shout out to the Parker Family for supporting FTE at last year’s auction party. As winners of this auction item, Max and Sydney Parker joined the elf in planning and participating for a day. Lastly, and most importantly, thank you to Mrs. Look for excusing the tardies caused by the antics.
A quick reminder that tomorrow is the last day to collect items from our lost and found before they are donated as we prepare to have our new cafeteria floors installed.
I want to wish everyone a very happy holiday season and see you next year!
