PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING

IMPORTANT DATES INCLUDED

“…I know the finish line is in sight, but I still have a ways to go…”

“A Ways To Go” – Emmylou Harris

Dear Falcon Families,

Current situation aside, this time of year is always so very busy.  The light at the end of the tunnel is often looked forward to by all as summer is on the other side waiting for us.  As is par for the course, this school year is on a fast track to June.  This school year certainly has been made unforgettable and has presented challenges like never before.  We remained agile and adjusted where needed, and I couldn’t be prouder of the students, the staff, and the community.

Staff appreciation week is always a special time.  This year, however, it could not have come at a more meaningful time.  Thank you for your thoughtful gestures, impromptu parades, curbside deliveries and acts of kindness.  As our staff returns to campus to gather student materials and pack up their classrooms, they are entering a very empty building.  Our halls are eerily quiet when they should be filled with the buzz of May.  I would like to think the Booster Club for the surprise teacher signs that greeted our teachers as they arrived at their doors.  You provided a smile and a sense of support at the perfect time.

As the song lyric suggests, we are close, but we have much to do.  We are eager to share the final plans for the rest of May and the first week of June. We encourage you to hang on and hang in there as we cross the finish line together.

Have a great weekend and be well.

Distribution will occur under the front portico.  When you arrive, please form a single file line under the portico and around the curve (marquee). You will remain in your car. FTE staff will gather your child’s belongings and deliver them to your car. Siblings’ items (older & younger) will be delivered to you at the same time (only one visit necessary per family).

Helpful Tips to expedite and reduce time in line:

  • Have library books ready to drop in bins.
  • Be prepared to pop your trunk for staff to deliver materials.
  • If able, please create a sign (notebook paper) with your child(ren)’s name on it to display in your window.

Please bring with you:

  • Library Books and/or Reading Books with FTE on them.

Additional Info:
