I want to take this opportunity to express my advanced gratitude for your participation in the FTE No-Hassle Fundraiser. Our community never ceases to amaze, and I am humbled by your support in our efforts to provide opportunities to your children.
Supporting our No-Hassle Fundraiser helps fund so many of the educational enrichment activities and resources that our kids love and look forward to each year, plus many of the facilities improvements and staff training & appreciation that helps keep our kids and teachers at the top of their game.
There are only three days left to support FTE through No-Hassle and to determine which classes will get 100% participation rates needed to win the coveted Games 2U Party. The class with the highest percentage of families participating (with donations at any level) in each grade level will win a Kona Ice party. Plus, each class that reaches 100% participation will win a Games2U party. Help your child's class win!

SCHOOL NEWS
Falcon Frolics is Friday, Sept. 29th!
On Friday, September 29, 2017 the Forest Trail PE Department will sponsor our annual Falcon Frolics. This is a fun filled day that highlights some of the activities that the children have been involved in during their Physical Education class. There will be three sessions.
The first session will be for the third, fourth and fifth graders. It will take place from 8:40 until 10:10. These three grade levels will take part in fourteen different activities. They will participate as a homeroom.
The second session will be for first and second graders. It will take place from 10:30-11:30.
The third session will be for kindergartners. It will take place from 11:45- 12:30. These are non-competitive stations. Participation and enjoyment are stressed.
We would like to invite you to join us for this special event. Please join us if you are available! Thank you for your help. We look forward to seeing you at Falcon Frolics.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
EARLY RELEASE DAY is Tuesday, Sept. 26th, at 1:30pm.
The buses will depart two hours early. Lunch times will be as follows:
Kinder: 10:25-10:50am
1st Grade: 10:55-11:20am
2nd Grade: 11:15-11:40am
3rd Grade: 11:50-12:15pm
4th Grade: 12:25-12:50pm
5th Grade: 12:40-1:05pm
REGISTER TO VOTE:
On November 7th, Eanes voters will consider dropping the overall Eanes ISD tax rate, allowing the District to access additional funds for educational programs at no additional cost. This election is a Tax Ratification Election, or the "Penny Swap & Drop" that Dr. Leonard talked about in his State of the District presentation. On the ballot, voters will see "Proposition A, Eanes ISD Tax Ratification Election".
In order to vote in the Nov. 7th election, you must be registered to vote in Travis County by Oct. 10th. If you have recently moved, you must register to vote again. There will be a table set up from 4:45-5:30 at the FTE Bingo Night this Saturday. You can register to vote and get more information then. If you cannot make it to Bingo Night and need to register to vote, please email heather@heathersheffield.com.

What Are Our Children Doing on Their (or Others) Devices?
Join Booster Club on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6TH, at 8:45 in the library for Coffee with Principal followed by a very special guest speaker Carl Hooker. In this digital age we all need to be aware of what our children are exposed to on their own technology or someone else's. Carl Hooker, the Director of Innovative and Digital Learning for Eanes ISD, will be our special guest to talk about the technology that our children are using and what we should be doing about it. This is sure to be VERY informative and insightful for parents with kids at any age – stay on top of the technology that is being used today and will be in the future!
BOX TOPS DUE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23RD!
