PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING

On behalf of the FTE Staff, I would like to extend our most heartfelt gratitude to our parents for the royal treatment we received last week. Staff Appreciation Week serves as the perfect boost to push our staff through the remaining weeks of class. The support and collaboration of our Forest Trail families are felt daily and not exclusive to a weekly event. However, the P. Terry's, Bruegger's Bagels, homemade muffins, Starbucks, BBQ, Texas Honey Ham tacos, Good Times Ice Cream frozen desserts, and the gift card giveaways were a very nice treat. There were many well-fed and happy campers in the building last week. Of course, the homemade gifts from the students were the star of the show, and I heard many teachers in awe of what their students created and how sweet the sentiments were. Thank you to the Staff Appreciation Committee Chairs: Alison Bogle, Melissa Howitt, and Karyn Reiber for organizing such a special week. I would also like to thank the many parents who volunteered in other capacities from preparing food to decorating the building. Most importantly, our sincere gratitude goes to every Falcon parent for sharing your children with us. It is a great joy to come to work every day knowing how supported and appreciated our work is.

EISD Gifted and Talented Program

FOREST TRAIL 2018-2019 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Please help us spread the word! "Official" kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year is open.

To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2018. Beginning April 2nd, parents may access and complete the on-line required forms which can be found on our website and at https://www.eanesisd.net/parents/enrollment. The registration information is essential to determine the staff needed and the number of classrooms required.

After completing the on-line enrollment forms, parents will need to bring the following documentation to the FTE Front Office. Parents may bring originals with them, and a member of our staff will help make any copies needed.

an original copy of child's birth certificate, preferably with a photocopy
a photocopy of child's social security card
a photocopy of child's completed immunization record (*This is required before school starts.)
a photocopy of guardian's valid driver's license
2) proofs of residency in EISD (current utility bill and copy of lease agreement, deed contract or recent tax receipt)

Miscellaneous forms will be found in Kinder Packets (i.e. FTE Directory Form, Bus Buddy form, School Supply information, Kindergarten Day information, etc.) and will be available for pickup in our school office beginning Monday, April 2nd .
