Dig Time Lapse
| The fifth grade classes took turns digging in three possible areas for the time capsule. One of the classes found it in pit #2 in under about 3 inches of extremely packed soil. We were able to retrieve the contents in perfect condition!! |

The time capsule was in an old army ammunition box. The base of the box was set in cement. Fortunately, the box had a rubber seal which protected the stored contents. There were many interesting items including newspapers, a textbook, pictures and toys. The picture to the right has a hand-written list of the contents from 25 years ago.
