Save the Date..."THE WELL-BALANCED STUDENT"

posted Jan 9, 2017, 9:06 AM by Bonnie Rosson   [ updated Feb 3, 2017, 8:20 AM ]

Today’s high-pressure, fast-paced culture can interfere with healthy child development. When we are too focused on test scores, performance, and grades, we may deny kids the time and energy they need to effectively tackle the demanding work of growing up.  This workshop examines the tensions that can occur between students, parents, and educators over issues such as homework, grades, and the culture of competition. We’ll offer parents research-based strategies to create healthier home and school environments.

In this presentation, parents will learn:

• How students today are coping- or not- with the academic pressure they face

• Ways they can reduce academic stress without sacrificing achievement or engagement in school

• Strategies to increase resilience, creativity, and well-being for their child

All Parents are encouraged to attend.

New EISD Transportation Rules

posted Aug 19, 2016, 12:29 PM by Bonnie Rosson

As we communicated last May, Eanes ISD has eliminated guest ridership on our school buses and eliminated stops to alternate locations for after-school programs. While we realize this may cause an inconvenience to some families, we made the decision based on bus route and fuel efficiency, management in terms of the amount of consistent riders on our routes, and equal transportation offerings for all of our families.

The definition of a guest rider is a student who rides a bus other than the one they are assigned. If a student remains on his/her assigned bus but gets off at a different stop along the route, which is allowed because he/she is already accounted on that bus.

Thank you for helping us to improve our transportation services and ensure consistent practices!

EISD Attendance Policy...

posted Aug 27, 2015, 7:39 AM by Bonnie Rosson   [ updated Jul 26, 2016, 2:35 PM ]

The Eanes ISD now requires a note from parents/guardians for all student absences.  Please email fteattendance@eanesisd.net immediately regarding any absences your child may have. Any absence that does not have a note on file will remain unexcused on your student’s record until a note is received.
