PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING
On behalf of the FTE staff, I would like express our gratitude for all of the Forest Trail families and Veterans fore making our Veteran's Day Assembly so special. Our students serenaded 47 veterans as we celebrated this special day. Mr. Steve Wiehe spoke to our students as did every serviceman and woman. It all added up to a very powerful and moving morning. To our families, thank you for sending in the many photos which line our hallways and attending our event. To our special guests, the Veterans; we are indebted to your service and thank you for allowing us to celebrate you. Additional thanks to our FTE staff Karen Purdy, Bonnie Seelig, Kelly Dunning, Nancy Bettersworth, Julie Goodnough, Ashley Krause, Kristina Bishop and Angela Woodbridge for their efforts to organize and plan such a special day. Special thanks to FTE parents Allyie Carberry and Jennifer Ghai for the Veteran's Day photo booth and photographs!

Kindergarten Gifted and Talented
On Monday, November 6th, the Kindergarten GT Assessment Information meeting was held at Valley View Elementary. If you did not get a chance to attend, the link to the slides from the meeting are on Mrs. Harvey's website. Here you can also find the link to give consent for your child to be assessed. November 21st is the deadline to give consent. Please contact Shannon Harvey at sharvey@eanesisd.net if you have any questions.

Attention 5th grade parents....Pridelines are back this year! Parents must go online (www.balfour.com -- Yearbook Ads) to design your ad and pay for it. The 1/8 page ad is $15.00 and only available to 5th grade parents or family members! The hard deadline is February 16th so don't delay as no exceptions can be made to this. There are only a certain number of spots in the yearbook for these so they are on a first come, first serve basis.
