Forest Trail Elementary

As we roll into November, I can't help but get excited about what the future holds. This is, without a doubt, my favorite time of the year. The food, the football games, the weather…are you kidding me? It's the best! Of course, it's also the month that consistently reminds me of how fortunate I am and all that I have to be thankful for. Of all things FTE is at the top of that list. I have a made a commitment to myself to be thankful and express my gratitude at every opportunity. In doing so, I've been blessed with a sense of happiness I did not expect. All those "Hang in There" style motivational posters about sharing positivity are actually 100% true!

Even with best intentions, unfortunately, I fall short in my endeavors to recognize ALL of the truly amazing work and contributions I see every day at Forest Trail. Days go by when my draft of an email goes unsent, or my notes get lost more than I would like to admit. Please join me in spreading those feel good vibes around our campus. Everyday our bus drivers, custodians, office staff, and teachers are doing incredible things. If there is a FTE staff member you would like to recognize for their contributions, please let me know by tapping the good vibes below. Thank you for growing our positive and supportive community.

Thank You to Our Amazing Chairs!

Your children were treated to three incredible cultural arts events last week thanks to Carissa Milam.  They welcomed Matt Sandbank's Shadow Factory on Wednesday who presented a modern-day version of Rapunzel using shadow to depict the story and Dunn Hamrick Dance Company which demonstrated modern dance choreography while teaching elements of shape, levels and tempo.  On Friday the students participated in the FTE Sock Hop. Thank you again to our Cultural Arts Chairperson, Carissa Milam!

While our children were enjoying cultural arts and our parents were in conference our staff were treated to three days of lunches by our incredible Staff Appreciation committee headed up by Alison Bogle, Melissa Howitt and Karyn Reiber.  We can't thank these leaders and their committee for all the worked done to make sure our staff were taken care of during conference week!
