“Raise the Paddle” Challenge for the 2017 Forest Trail Elementary Auction & Party: STEAM Carts
What are STEAM Carts anyway?
FTE Principal Cody Spraberry and Educational Technology Specialist Jennifer Flood are spearheading a cutting-edge initiative to outfit FTE classrooms with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Carts. Today we are issuing a challenge to parents and supporters to “Raise the Paddle”* to support the mission to fund these mobile carts. Eventually, Mr. Spraberry envisions one cart in each classroom. Help us get closer to this goal by raising your paddle!
A message from our Educational Technology Specialist, Jennifer Flood:
This year's "Raise the Paddle" challenge will support STEAM Carts for every Forest Trail Classroom. Currently, Forest Trail enjoys just six carts that are shared by at each grade level. The STEAM Carts hold a wide variety of exploratory materials that support open ended play and problem solving such as marble runs and roller coasters, Dash robots and LEGOs, an assortment of building materials, and more!
The carts selected have been field tested by Forest Trail teachers and got a BIG thumbs up!
STEAM Carts are incredible assets to a progressive learning environment, and we hope you will join us in the challenge to outfit FTE with STEAM carts!
*Our bidder cards are our “paddles” this year!
At the Falcon City Limits event on February 11th, please consider "raising your paddle" for STEAMcarts during the Live Auction!
